HVIP Reporting

Set up automated reporting with ViriCiti
and receive up to $165,000 in HVIP funding – per vehicle.

Receive an extra $15,000 per bus with ViriCiti – on top of the standard funding

The HVIP program stimulates the market introduction of low-emission vehicles in California. When purchasing a new zero- or low emission vehicle, the HVIP voucher program will provide a substantial amount in funding to those that buy one or more vehicles from an approved vendor or OEM. Extra funding of $15,000 is available for buses that are operated within disadvantaged communities.

  1. The vendor/OEM checks if his vehicle is on the approved vendor list.
  2. Vendor/OEM needs to complete the request form and receives the HVIP voucher.
  3. Purchaser receives the discount and is responsible for the data-requirements as specified in the terms and conditions.

What is included in the HVIP report provided by ViriCiti?

In order to meet the terms and conditions of the program, the purchaser of the vehicle is responsible for a telemetry system that records the activity of the buses every quarter for at least 3 years or 50,000 miles. As required by HVIP, the following information will be included in an automated report set up by ViriCiti:

  • The total time driving in a DAC for the last quarter and cumulative
  • The total miles driven in a DAC for the last quarter and cumulative
  • The percentage of total distance driven in a DAC for the last quarter and cumulative
  • The percentage of total operation time driven in a DAC for the last quarter
